Mindful outdoor activities and education

As an experienced trail runner and adventure racer,  I am able to offer mindful guided outdoor activities such as trail running and walking at all different levels, whether you are a wonderfully slow walker or an experienced trail runner.

 

How you experience it is much more important than how well you do it.

These activities are all with the emphasis of not just being active, but of what the activity really means to us both psychologically and physically and of the deeper connection to life that this can bring.

I provide all of this in a wild and as natural as possible environment to further increase the depth our our experiences. 

Trail Running

One to one or group  Mindfulness Based running

One to one or Group Mindfulness Based Walking

  • Just started walking trails

  • Some walking of trails

  • Walk trails all the time

Trail Running

 

Imagine being guided around some of the trails in Jersey and of the world heritage sites, in all weathers, on your own with me or in a group. Experiencing and appreciating your running in very different ways. Connecting, with your senses, to the natural flow of your movement and of the environment that you are in. The smell of seaweed, the sound of the gulls, the sense of achievement understood at a very different level. A deeper connection.

1. New to trail running

1.5 hr beginners mindful trail running.

One to one or group (no more than 6 people)

Simple offroad running experience with discussion and mindful practice before and after  run to understand experience further.

Equipment needed : Running trainers, socks, suitable leggings/shorts, t-shirt/long sleeve, waterproof/windproof jacket (if raining, although some people don't wear this layer at all!!)

Bring warm clothes to put on when we finish

Provided : All paperwork, MP3 practices, material and water 

NB: You will need transport to the venue due to current COVID guidelines

2. Some trail running

1.5 hr Intermediate mindful trail running.

One to one or group (no more than 6 people)

Faster and a bit longer offroad running experience with discussion and mindful practice before and after run to understand experience further

Equipment needed : Trail running shoes, socks, suitable leggings/shorts, t-shirt/long sleeve, waterproof/windproof jacket

Bring warm clothes to put on when we finish

Provided : All paperwork, MP3 practices, material and water 

NB: You will need transport to the venue due to current COVID guidlines

3. Trail run most of the time

1.5 hr more technical mindful trail running

One to one or group (no more than 6 people)

Faster, a bit longer and more 'where does that path go?' offroad running experience with discussion and mindful practice before and after run to understand experience further

Equipment needed : Trail running shoes, socks, suitable leggings/shorts, t-shirt/long sleeve, waterproof/windproof jacket.

Bring warm clothes to put on when we finish

Provided : All paperwork, MP3 practices, material and water

Walking

Imagine going for a walk in some of the beautiful trails in Jersey, being guided and listened to in a particular way that allows for a deeper more meaningful connection to the sights, sounds and smells that you will experience. Guided in a natural environment, learning from nature.

1. Just started walking trails

1 or 2  Hour guided mindful walk

Simple flat terrain

One to one or group (no more than 6 people)

Guided walk with discussion and mindful practice before, during and after  to understand experience further.

Equipment needed : Suitable clothes for the weather ( Eg..Walking shoes, suitable leggings/trousers/shorts, t-shirt/long sleeve, waterproof/windproof jacket (if raining)

Provided : All paperwork, MP3 practices and  material 

NB: You will need transport to the venue due to current COVID guidelines

2. Some walking of trails

1 or 2  Hour guided mindful walk

A bit more 'up and down' trail walking

One to one or group (no more than 6 people)

Guided walk with discussion and mindful practice before, during and after  to understand experience further.

Equipment needed : Suitable clothes for the weather ( Eg..Walking shoes, suitable leggings/trousers/shorts, t-shirt/long sleeve, waterproof/windproof jacket (if raining)

3. Walk trails all the time

1 or 2  Hour guided mindful walk

A lot more up and down and a bit more strenuous trail walking

One to one or group (no more than 6 people)

Guided walk with discussion and mindful practice before, during and after  to understand experience further.

Equipment needed : Suitable clothes for the weather ( Eg..Walking shoes, suitable leggings/trousers/shorts, t-shirt/long sleeve, waterproof/windproof jacket (if raining)

Provided : All paperwork, MP3 practices and  material
